Dear Spoiled Babies,

  Your Aunties threw us a very special Baby Shower on July 8th, 2006 and I must say the two of you are very spoiled. The shower was at Auntie Stacey’s new condo (very cute) and all of my friends and family were there to join in the fun. There were games, good food, and lots of presents!! Having two babies at once seems to require a bunch of crap er..cute baby stuff. You are now the proud owners of one pink carseat (don’t worry Heaten, Auntie Kristy is loaning us a blue one just for you!), papasan swing and bouncy, monitors, heath care stuff, bottles, rockin’ gym, activity centers, booster seats, stoller, and much much more. Thank you to all of you who helped make this day so special for us. A very special thank you to Auntie Stacey, Auntie Ang, Auntie Kristy, and Grandma for giving us such a wonderful day! As a little treat I’ll humiliate myself with the “Present Picture”. Be afraid, be very afraid!

Can we just say large marge. At the doctor today they measured me at 30 weeks - I will be 23 weeks this Saturday! EEK.

Dear Babies,

  We are now 22 weeks with about 15 left to go!!! Since last week I have noticed much, much more movement from you both. You now kick and punch and elbow me on a regular basis throughout the day and night. Your dad can now feel you both kicking and moving on a daily basis. It is so strange to think that there are two babies in my belly kicking me and one day you will be grownups with kids of your own. I tell your dad that women are superior to men because who else could grow and entire human in their belly but us!! Men are such babies they’d never be able to handle it.

  We had our 22 week ultrasound with the perinatologist this past Friday. You are both doing wonderful and growing right on schedule. Heaten is a whopping 1 pound with Shenzie right behind him at 15 ounces. Heaten is measuring a bit bigger all around, so we figure he will be the bigger of you both when you’re born. Both of your hearts are beating perfect, your organs and brain are all developed and look good. Shenzie is now the more active of you both and was moving and stretching quite a bit while we watched. I will never tire of seeing you in my belly, although I can’t wait for you both to be born to actually hold you and kiss you. So far I have gained 25 pounds and it shows!

Things are definately getting more real as the time passes and we get closer to our due date and your daddy and I can’t wait!!! Fifteen more weeks babies and you’ll be here with your mommy and daddy where you belong.
