Since Shenzie learned how to roll places I have to be very careful about letting Shenzie and Heaten “play” together. Before they started being able to get around I could lie them side by side, but enough apart that they couldn’t hurt each other. Then they started squirming to new places and I would find them hitting each other in the face, pulling on each others ears, kicking each other in the head…you name it. Now that Shenzie can roll to get where she wants to go it has opened up a whole new world of fun. I will leave the room for a couple of minutes and come back to Shenzie in a completely different area of the room. Today I laid them on opposite ends of the blanket and gave them each a toy. I guess Shenzie liked Heaten’s toy better. She rolled over to him….took his toy while dropping hers and rolled away. Ok, she’s sharing and leaving her toy for Heaten to play with…awwww sweet. Oh no…don’t let her fool you. She then dropped her new toy and rolled back over to Heaten and took that toy too! Poor Heaten didn’t know what hit him. He just looked at her like ‘Sissy, what did you go and do that for’.  I guess he better learn how to roll pretty quick or he’s getting left in the dust!

She definately got my “mean gene”. I never did share well with others and I still don’t! Poor Jeff….what’s mine is mine and what is his is ours. See….everybody wins. =)

I’m bummed that all of the good shows are over until fall. What in the world will I do now…I can only watch so much Oprah and eat so many Bon Bons. Ahhh….the life of a stay at home mom with nothing to do. Sigh.

And what is up with the crazy babies…..all week they cry, they fuss, they fight naps and drive me to want to drink. The weekend hits with daddy here and suddenly they are angels again. I was worried about leaving the babies with Jeff all Saturday since they’ve been so crazy lately. Ha….the joke is on me. He is now wondering what all the complaining and fuss is about. They took their naps, didn’t cry or fuss all day and made me look like a big crybaby!  I guess I won’t complain too much about it since the good streak is carrying over to today.

I’ve decided I need to get out more. As much drama as it is to leave the house, being cooped up all week is starting to wear on me  drive me insane! And by get out more I don’t mean more trips to Target…which totally reminds me I need to go there this week. I am going to get out and socialize more…easier said than done since I’m a hermit homebody. I’ve made great steps so far. Last week I took the babies to Jeff’s work and we had lunch. Today I met Chrissy at Applebee’s for lunch and later this week I’m supposed to go see Ang, Jessica, and her cute little girl Madeline. It’s all about the baby steps.

Ok, that is enough randomness for one day. Off to the couch for more Bon Bons.

Of course I can’t forget to include the crazies.

Playing together nicely until Heaten got bored.

Remember back when I was selling the babies for a million dollars…..well now they’re free! Any takers?

How in the world does a 7 month old already know how to throw temper tantrums?!!? Nobody warned me about his.

Why oh why won’t they nap? And I don’t want to hear that maybe they are not tired…..tell them that as they scream and cry bloody murder from being tired.  Do you think a little JD in their bottles would do any harm?

I suspect that the man (or woman) upstairs hates mother’s by teasing them into thinking things are getting good only to pull the rug right out from under them.

And how in the world can such cute babies cause me to want to gouge my ear drums out!?!

All I can say is it’s FRIDAY and Jeff is on baby duty tomorrow while I attend Ang’s baby shower! Yippee! I may come home to find he ran off with the maid. Oh wait! We don’t have a maid….or a Scooba….Henry’s life was short and sweet. Stupid Scooba came and went…oh you poor defective robot!

Mama and her Clambinos.

I had a wonderful Mother’s Day. Thank you to my best husband and babies for making it so special. Are you ready for this!?!?! I got a robot! Not just any old robot, but a robot that cleans floors! You are about to see an enormous amount of exclamation points to show just how excited I am about our new robot!!!!

Introducing Henry! The wonderful Roomba Scooba!!

Henry is my new best friend. Oh Henry! What did I ever do without you?!?  Who needs house cleaners when you have Henry! Our floors are going to be so clean you can eat right off them! In fact I’m sure thats just what the babies will do. I HATE to mop and now I never have to again. Swoon.

 kisssss.kisssss.kisssss.

And thats not all. My Mother’s Day just kept getting better and better. My husband FINALLY shaved off his beard. What in the world possessed me to let him grow it in the first place?!?!?! Good riddance is what I say (until his next birthday anyhow)!

He went from this furry faced old man…..

To this handsome young buck who I wanted to……

Kiss! =)

Auntie Stacey and I went to Target the other day…something we haven’t done together in a long, LONG time. We were discussing her upcoming baby and the budget that she and her man were working out. As we were checking out she was laughing at all of my Target brand purchases.

Formula - Target brand.

Baby wipes - Target brand.

Tylenol - Target brand.

Airborne - Target brand.

Body wash - Target brand.

Paper towels - You guessed it, Target brand.

Even using generic brands we still spend A LOT on baby crap. I hate to be the one to burst your bubble sissy but your days of $300 haircuts, $200 jeans, and $300 sunglasses are long gone…..Target brand will be your new best friend!!!!

There is no greater motivation for cleaning all of the cracks and crevices with a toothbrush than company coming to stay in your house. Your dirty house. The house that hasn’t had a really, really good scrubdown since the cleaners left when the babies were 3 months old. The house you will now spend the next 3 days cleaning from top to bottom so you don’t embarrass yourself. Normally I am a CLEAN FREAK. Once upon a time I would spend 2-3 hours every weekend cleaning the house from top to bottom. Nowadays it is more like….oh that room is dirty I’ll have to get to it sometime today. And then the babies get crazy, bottles need made, dinner needs cooked, laundry needs done, and I need to pee so the dirty room gets pushed to the backburner day after day.

Jeff’s twin sister Leah and her hubby David are coming for a visit from Canada this weekend and we are so excited! The only thing that could make it better would be if their two kids Emily and Nicholas could make it. We are in the midst of planning a trip to Canada for next summer so we’ll get to see the kids then. I have not even met Nicholas yet - bad Auntie!

Wish me luck that the dirt bunnies don’t eat me alive!!!!! Today is Day 1 of Spring Fling 2007!!!

And of course for your viewing pleasure the cutest babies in the whole universe - back in the day when they were tiny tots (December 2006).
