Can we say excited!
Up Mommy! Up!
The babies have been insane this week. I’m not sure the cause or what I did to deserve such hell, but when one is insane the other must follow, so two crazies…every, single, day! I’ve been trying to get out every day for a walk in the morning before it gets too hot and then an activity in the afternoon. The babies LOVE their wagon and love to go for walks. The other day Heaten was super fussy even in the wagon, which is really unusual. He was wearing shoes for the first time (I know, they are almost a year and just now wearing shoes…bad mommy), anyhow, I thought maybe the shoes were to blame so I took them off and stuck them in the bottom of the wagon. I’m sure you know what comes next….missing shoe. As I was cleaning out the wagon I noticed only one shoe. Ooops. The next day we retraced our steps and sure enough a block up , sitting on the sidewalk, cute as could be was the other shoe. Yay! Today he dropped his sippy, my water bottle, and his hat from the wagon. I learned my lesson and now look back every couple of minutes to see if anything is missing before we get too far and have to backtrack.

Yesterday I got it in my head to do a photo shoot of the babies in their new brown outfits. Brown is my favorite color so you’ll be seeing a lot of it around here. We load up the wagon and head to the park. I put the babies on the grass knowing full well they hate grass…duh. Load them back into the wagon, go home, get a blanket, and head back to the park. Thirty minutes of rolling around in the grass, which I am allergic to and now have a rash all over my legs and arms for nothing. Not one photo turned out. They WOULD NOT cooperate at all. One would look at the camera the other wouldn’t. I have lots of pictures of fingers in mouths, both babies looking the opposite direction, tongues sticking out, and squinty eyes…but not one with both babies happy, smiling at the camera.
Here are a few shots of babies not playing along with mommy..
Playing Peek a Boo with his ears.
Contemplating the meaning of life.
Finger lickin’ good.
I suffer from high anxiety…I’m a rather high strung, anal, anxiety filled crazed person at times. This is one of those times. I am filled with major anxiety. I’m not exactly sure what caused it to rear its ugly head this time…getting ready for the babies one year birthday party would be my guess. I have been cleaning the backyard, pruning the palm trees, tying to organize the clutter, keep up with the never ending laundry, housework, and driving myself crazy in the process. I also have a “to-do” list a mile long with things like….finish the babies first year scrapbook, order a gazillion photos from shutterfly since I have about 13,000 stored on my computer but only a handful of actual paper prints. I wanted to do a video for the babies first year, but that SO isn’t happening. I need to clear my head and quit stressing out already…only I don’t know how. Anybody want to come help declutter my life and my head? Or if you’d rather take the crazies for a bit so I can finish up my projects that would be great! Haha.
In the mean time…the cuteness just never ends around here!

No, not good news. Great news!!!!
When Shenzie was born she had a heart murmur and her left ventricle was abnormally small. The Pediatric Cardiologist said it was due to prematurity and should go away as she got older. Even though it was harmless it was still a big worry. What if it wasn’t harmless. What if it didn’t go away. What if, what if, what if. We had our follow up appointment with the PC Friday and the great news is not only is the heart murmur gone, the left ventricle is normal size and everything looks perfect. YAY! Shenzie’s heart is fixed!! What a relief.

* Changing crib sheets. Why in the world do they make them where you have to take the entire bumper off to get to the sheet?!? Errrrg!
* Attaching the bumper to the crib…mine must be el cheapo because it never lines up just right and always looks sloppy. Errrrg!
* Picking up a baby that has brown legs and arms from dragging themselves across my dirty tile. Errrg!
* Cleaning the tile on my hands and knees to make sure it is extra clean for dragging baby parts. Errrrg!
* Loud noises outside during naptime. Lawnmowers I will kill you! Loud mufflers I will kill you! Honking horns I will kill you!
* Babies that do not take enough naps and are Crabby McCrabbalots!
* Food stains that will NOT come out of baby clothes. I’ve tried Oxy Clean and soaking…any suggestions?
Things I do like:

Jeff and I have a this bad habit of giving gifts early. Maybe I should say I have a bad habit of not being able to keep secrets. When I buy gifts early I can’t stand the anticipation and end up giving the gifts early too. I suck at surprises. While I like to be surprised if I know there is a surprise coming I can’t stand it. I’m like a little kid. Anyway….we did it again. The babies birthday is not for another two weeks, but we gave them their gifts early. It’s not like they know or anything, right? Haha. They LOVE their new toys and I love that they keep the crazies occupied, it is a win-win situation. =)
I must have been crazy to think this was a good idea…..if picking up two hundred little plastic balls every night is your idea of fun then come on over!

They kick their little legs throwing the balls out. It is so cute to watch them bend over and wave their arms really wide…the balls go flying out.

We also got them the double seater Radio Flyer. This thing is great! Now that it is cooling off a tad we are taking morning walks. They love to look all around. Poor kids don’t even know what outside is. It was SO hot this summer that we spent 99.98% of the time indoors. I can’t wait for fall when we can actually get outside to play without melting.

It is so cute to see the babies learn and do new things. They are playing tricks on me though. Shenzie will start out doing things first…rolling, scooting, taking steps, etc. and then she just stops and Heaten comes in and zooms by. He started rolling a full month after Shenzie, but once he started forget about it…he was all over the place. He has been army crawling for over a month while Shenzie just started last week. She can stand on her own and keep her balance for a long time, she can walk with me holding her hands. Heaten doesn’t keep his balance well and just barely started taking steps with me holding his hands….but I’ll bet that he is going to zoom by and be walking before her even though she has a head start. Little crazies.
Here is Shenzie the day after she finally learned how to “crawl”….she does the inch worm…it is so freaking cute!

Life is going to be crazy when they are both walking. Already they are getting into EVERYTHING. It seems like the few things they are not supposed to touch (the cable box and books) are what they go for every time. They are crawling to each other and scratching (Shenzie), pulling hair (Shenzie again), and hitting heads (Heaten). I imagine many bumps, bruises, and bites are on the way.
Hi, it’s me, Heaten.
A little late..better late than never.
