The babies have been insane this week. I’m not sure the cause or what I did to deserve such hell, but when one is insane the other must follow, so two crazies…every, single, day! I’ve been trying to get out every day for a walk in the morning before it gets too hot and then an activity in the afternoon. The babies LOVE their wagon and love to go for walks. The other day Heaten was super fussy even in the wagon, which is really unusual. He was wearing shoes for the first time (I know, they are almost a year and just now wearing shoes…bad mommy), anyhow, I thought maybe the shoes were to blame so I took them off and stuck them in the bottom of the wagon. I’m sure you know what comes next….missing shoe. As I was cleaning out the wagon I noticed only one shoe. Ooops. The next day we retraced our steps and sure enough a block up , sitting on the sidewalk, cute as could be was the other shoe. Yay! Today he dropped his sippy, my water bottle, and his hat from the wagon. I learned my lesson and now look back every couple of minutes to see if anything is missing before we get too far and have to backtrack.

Yesterday I got it in my head to do a photo shoot of the babies in their new brown outfits. Brown is my favorite color so you’ll be seeing a lot of it around here. We load up the wagon and head to the park. I put the babies on the grass knowing full well they hate grass…duh. Load them back into the wagon, go home, get a blanket, and head back to the park. Thirty minutes of rolling around in the grass, which I am allergic to and now have a rash all over my legs and arms for nothing. Not one photo turned out. They WOULD NOT cooperate at all. One would look at the camera the other wouldn’t. I have lots of pictures of fingers in mouths, both babies looking the opposite direction, tongues sticking out, and squinty eyes…but not one with both babies happy, smiling at the camera.
Here are a few shots of babies not playing along with mommy..

What are you talking about? These pics are great. Dave is not a fan posed pics…he is all about “in the moment pics” which I have kind of gotten used to. I especially love “contemplating the meaning of life” =)

These are adorable, I love dressing my kids in brown too. It is great they are loving the wagon rides, it was something that brought me sanity on my second maternity leave! I love the new look of the website, Shenzie’s expressions are priceless!! That head of hair is too cute on Heaten!! Take care;

One time on a walk, we had the stroller this time, Karter lost his binky along the way, only I didn’t notice it until I was a block from home. At that point he was really attached to his binky anso I have to retrace my steps all the way back, and there it was in the middle of the road. This has actaully happen to me on more than one occasion.

He is so like J. J. drops EVERYTHING. You cannot trust him with cup, hat, etc.
I stop every block to make sure he still has his hat. S on the other hand, holds
onto everything like it was gold. She usually carries both her and J’s hats into
daycare in the stroller. Until J steals one from her and drops it.

Can we say PRICELESS, I’m glad last week wasn’t that good for
someone other than me…. Well, maybe yours was worse, I don’t
have crazy babies (but I do have some crazy kids and hubby)..
Those photos are so cute…
