It’s all a matter of perspective. When the babies were taking two naps (ahhhh, the good old days) a good nap was 1.5 to 2 hours twice a day. More often than not they would have ok naps of 1 hour or so. These days where they are taking ONE 30 minute nap ALL DAY LONG I would kill for those ok one hour naps. No sleep + lots of crying, screaming, and clingy =

And my good sleeper

That pic of Shenzie is priceless!! Life is so tough for babies.
We were on one nap a day by 15 months, d*mn day care! We’re finally at a dependable 2 hour break but there were some hairy months with one 1 hour break each day. It’s enough to reduce grown adults to tears.

Those days when there is no nap (thank goodness there have been less than a handful) are so hard. I’m sure a 30 minute nap is equivalent to no nap!
Those are great pictures! (As usual.) Heaten needs more stuffed animals!

I miss the days of two naps too.
Love the photos - my Little Boy sleeps just like Heaten, with heiny in the air. Too cute.

One 30 minute nap?! Yowza!

I love the sleeping with butt in the air. J does that too, and tucks his hands
under his body just like Heaten.
On days when we’re desperate for a good nap we “stroller them” and they seem to do
better. Car trips work too (we’ve contemplated a 2 hour car ride just for a good
nap). But it doesn’t give you a break to do something else.
Hope they get into a better routine.

We have those days too. Thanks for the comment on my b&w pics. Those are some of the first ones I’ve taken in manual mode on my camera. I’m trying to figure it all out and boy am I lost at times.

Lesely, I am right there with you!! I am at a loss of what to do. It seems like we are in trouble if we do a morning nap but worse off if we don’t!! How is it that 2 little people need less sleep than their parents? Good luck and if you discover the magic secret to sleep, please share it with me.

Oh man. I guess I should be happy my little
2 1/2 year olds are STILL taking a 2 hour nap
a day AND still sleeping in their crib……..
I’m not in any hurry for them to move to the
toddler bed. No control.
