We keep numerous sippies full of water around the house. Before nap and bedtime while I’m rocking and singing to the babies they will have a few sips of water. Shenzie now requests cold water when I hand her the sippy. How in the world at the age of TWO are they already so particular?!?!?

Demon Child. This is Shenzie giving me “the look”. Cracks me up everytime!!

I have been known to go through food phases. Junk food phases to be more precise. I latch onto some junky food or drink for awhile and then WHAM! I’m over it and have moved onto the next thing. Back in the day when I drank soda I went from Pepsi to Dr. Pepper back to Pepsi quite often. These days I’m stuck with good old water and don’t miss the juice one bit. It seems like once I am in a phase I get addicted to it and then once I stop eating ______ (insert junk food item here) I’m done and I don’t miss it one bit. So tell me why in the last couple of months I have went from this:

Mint Chocolate Truffle Kisses

To this:

To this:

Cookies and Cream White Chocolate Kisses

To this:

And now onto this:

Seriously, I have a problem. I need CA - Chocolates Anonymous!! Sad sad state of affairs over here. I’m doing really well working out four days a week only to sabotage myself every single day with this oh so delicious, but not so good for you crap. And to show you just how bad this addiction is I am sitting here typing about this horrid beast that has claimed me with an Andes Mint deliciously melting in my mouth. *Snicker* MmMmMmmmmm Snickers.

I love Love LOVE long weekends. Jeff took his birthday off from work yesterday to spend it at home with the fam. Saturday we loafed around the house, I went to the gym, and then we had date night! Having our new babysitter “A” is wonderful. The babies kissed us goodbye and off we went to browse the bookstore while drinking our over priced coffee and then onto a nice, relaxing, yummy dinner. To end our wonderful date night we watched a DVD (The Ruins) which was much better than I thought it would be.

Sunday Jeff got to sleep in for his birthday weekend while I dealt with the crazies. Then I got payback and went to Spin class (that kicked my ass once again) while he dealt with the crazies. Ran some errands, played outside, took naps (them, not me) and then I passed out on the couch at 9:30, tired from all the Spinny Spinny.

Monday I had big plans to go to the gym for pilates, but in the end ditched out for some fun birthday lounging. We then headed out to our favorite joint for breakfast, The Omlet House. YUMYUMYUM is all I can say. Good thing I worked out so hard this weekend or I might cry over all the yummy, fattening food I ate. To top off our super duper wonderful weekend we had cheese cake and ice cream for Jeff’s birthday. Oink Oink little piggies.

Eating Edition:

Sometimes extreme measures are called for when it comes to eating our fruits and veggies:

Chocolate covered Bananas anyone?

Don’t mind if I do.

Or not!

Maybe a lolli will get that gross chocolate taste out of her mouth!!

Don’t worry Momma, I’m eating my lunch like a good boy.

I am totally going to jinx myself, but the last three days have been really good. I can’t say the same for the two before that (Crazy Town!!!!), but these last few days have been full of laughs, tickles, hugs, kisses, and love. Isn’t it weird how one day will be so horrible you just want it to end and the next be as close to perfect as you can get with a crazy Momma and twins?

We went to the gym (with minimal crying from Shenzie), went to Costco with zero fighting or crying, hit up good old Mickey D’s (Daddy, pretend you didn’t read that), and had a picnic outside with our chicken nuggets and french fries. Then the babies went down for their nap while Momma ran around crazy trying to accomplish too many things. After nap we headed outside to enjoy our awesome weather. We picked weeds, watched roly poly’s, jumped on the trampoline, played in the sandbox, and played on the swing. Can everyday be like this please??

*And apparently I am confused and had Foto Friday up this morning. Oops.

Strange happenings here at Casa de Barr. Heaten ate an ENTIRE bowl full of peas last night for dinner!!!!

Nothing else, just peas. This is the boy who barely eats and NEVER vegetables. He won’t even try them. Occasionally he’ll eat Edamame with me because he likes to pop the shells. No corn on the cob, no peas, no carrots, no zucchini, nada. He NEVER EVER eats veggies unless I hide them in food. Don’t ask me what got into the little dude last night I was watching him with sheer disbelief. Hopefully this strange happening will continue.

Shenzie’s new look. She has taken to wearing my bandanas around the house. They look MUCH better on her than on me.

And Shenzie’s newest crazy….LOTS of stuffed animals and babies in bed. We are now up to 15. HOLY MOLY WHY DID I EVER ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN?!? It is beyond crazy. And the craziest part is she knows if one is missing. The other night she was crying and crying after I put her to bed which is unusual. I went to check on her and she kept saying pink, pink PINK! I got her up and she goes running to find Pink Baby. How she even knew it was missing in the pile of babies is beyond me.

The cast of characters:

Original Baby
Baby Rose (a Cabbage Patch that Auntie Kristy got her)
Baby Pink (a doll that Janae got her)
New Bear (from Grandma Marg and Grandma Linda)
Pink Bear
Pink Pig
Small Pink Bear
Small Blue Bear
Blue Heart Bear
Pink Heart Bear
Ducky
Baby lion
Baby tiger
Blue Care Bear
and Pink Bunny.

I really need to come up with better names for them!

I don’t have much to report about my vacation to Hood River, Oregon except I had a blast. It was superduperuper fun.

Taken from the airplane window right before we flew into it. The fog was totally surrounding us, you couldn’t see anything at all except for white. Pretty freaky.

The food was delicious, the weather was perfect (cold, but not hurting cold), and relaxing with my girlfriend was to die for. Eating in peace while having grown up conversations was priceless. My favorite part of the trip was of course the snowboarding. Mt. Hood has spoiled me forever. It was AWESOME. Now if I could just find somebody in Vegas to go boarding with me since Jeff won’t. =(
