What do you do when your children have figured out how to open the kitchen drawers that are baby proofed?? This is bad. Very, very bad.
As a side note does anyone else ignore the quiet. You always know your kids are up to no good when it gets too quiet. Sometimes I just want the quiet to last so I ignore the fact that they are up to no good and deal with the consequences later.
And of course I can’t post without a photo!!!

And for those that need an adorable newborn baby fix click here. Baby C will melt your heart and make you wish you had a scrunchy, cuddly newborn (well, unless you are me and then you will just want to cuddle him and give him back to Mama).

We had to “kid-proof” our entire kitchen rather than babyproof. We took all the locks off except the lazy susan lock, which even most adults can not figure out. It was a sad sad day! We also took the gates off the deck stairs. They are big kids now!

Make sure they have a drawer or two that is theirs, and explain that those other drawers are for mama and daddy.

I admit to sometimes ignoring the silence. My twins haven’t figured out the drawers yet, but they have figured out how to remove the child-proofed electrial plug covers. We’ve tried two different kids and they still manage to remove them. This is NOT good.
I want to see some snowboarding pics from your little trip.

I LOVE THAT PICTURE!!! You need to frame it BIG!!!! I want it!! They are so cute! I love them! Do they still want butterfly kisses? Next time I am in town I am stoppin by for some more Buttterflies:) I try to ignore the quiet, because it is a lovely sound, but sometimes the consequences are too much, makes it not worth the moments of quiet! Peek in, if the quiet outweighs the mess, I guess let them go:)

Yeah, that’s scary. I’m stupid and don’t have any locks on my drawers or cupboards, so the kitchen looks like a tornado hit 2 or 3 times a day, and I’m constantly chasing Maison away from the breakables. As for the quiet, I very carefully sneak a peek to make sure they won’t hurt themselves and just let them go. I’d personally rather clean up the messes while they make another mess somewhere else later. Guess that’s why my house is usually a disaster.
Super cute kissies…

Will and Alex have recently figured out how to open door knobs w/ the covers on!! It is terrrifying. As for your quiet question…I SO do this :). If I am trying to get someting done and am blessed with 2 minutes of quiet I embrace it. Of course then I am faced with a minimum of a 10 minute clean up operation as a payback for the quiet!

I haven’t baby locked the drawers, the boys all help set the table for supper so it would just be a hassle. The lower cupboards are all locked and thankfully they haven’t figured out how to open thoses yet. Heck, we even have a hard time getting into them sometimes!
As for the silence, I usually quietly check on them and if they aren’t doing anything dangerous, then I leave them alone. Sometimes a boy has do make a little disaster to get it out of his system. We’re pretty good at cleaning up messes around here.
