Strange happenings here at Casa de Barr. Heaten ate an ENTIRE bowl full of peas last night for dinner!!!!

Nothing else, just peas. This is the boy who barely eats and NEVER vegetables. He won’t even try them. Occasionally he’ll eat Edamame with me because he likes to pop the shells. No corn on the cob, no peas, no carrots, no zucchini, nada. He NEVER EVER eats veggies unless I hide them in food. Don’t ask me what got into the little dude last night I was watching him with sheer disbelief. Hopefully this strange happening will continue.

Shenzie’s new look. She has taken to wearing my bandanas around the house. They look MUCH better on her than on me.

And Shenzie’s newest crazy….LOTS of stuffed animals and babies in bed. We are now up to 15. HOLY MOLY WHY DID I EVER ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN?!? It is beyond crazy. And the craziest part is she knows if one is missing. The other night she was crying and crying after I put her to bed which is unusual. I went to check on her and she kept saying pink, pink PINK! I got her up and she goes running to find Pink Baby. How she even knew it was missing in the pile of babies is beyond me.

The cast of characters:
Original Baby
Baby Rose (a Cabbage Patch that Auntie Kristy got her)
Baby Pink (a doll that Janae got her)
New Bear (from Grandma Marg and Grandma Linda)
Pink Bear
Pink Pig
Small Pink Bear
Small Blue Bear
Blue Heart Bear
Pink Heart Bear
Ducky
Baby lion
Baby tiger
Blue Care Bear
and Pink Bunny.
I really need to come up with better names for them!

It’s strange how they always know what’s missing in bed. When Madeline’s bed starts to get out of hand, I make her give me one out of her bed if she wants to bring a new one in. And I’ll shove one that doesn’t look like it’s a favorite down to the end of her bed and if it stays there for a couple of days I’ll take it out when she’s not looking. I think she has about 10 small, animal figurines in her bed right now, and a clean baby bottle, and some stuffed animals, and a my little pony.
I think I recall a post from not too long ago where you were being very thankful that your two didn’t take anything to bed but a blankie…

Oh damn! I just posted my monthly update and forgot to talk about the stuffed animals in bed. Maddie also has a handful (not quite as many as Shenzie though) that she must have. Jackson hasn’t started to need anything in particular but Maddie has a list of items that must go in his crib too!
The bandanas are adorable!

We bought Zoe a bear when she was about Shenzie’s age now and she named him Beary bear! Still have the little guy and she still can’t sleep without him in bed with her. She no longer takes him everywhere she goes, because well, she’s 8… but the kid goes crazy when she can’t find him.
I’m happy Heaten is eating better, I know you said he is for sure the picky one, kind of like you, huh?
