Of course at this point in the game I should KNOW when the babies are silent for too long to go investigate. Today’s incident involved Heaten (who can now open all the safety/child proof doors) and Shenzie sneaking into their bathroom after their bath and covering themselves from head to toe in bubbles. All over the floor, the rug, in their clean hair, you name it and it was covered in bubbles. Back into the bathtub they went to get the bubble mess washed away. They thought it was HILARIOUS and couldn’t stop laughing.
Last week Shenzie climbed on my desk and got the NON WASHABLE markers from my scrapbook bin. Yeah, as you can see she thought this was HILARIOUS as well!

The other day while I was in the shower (occasionally I play Russian Roulette and shower while the babies “play” in the playroom) Heaten comes running in, laughing of course, covered in Scotch Tape. It was in his hair, wrapped around his arm, and stuck all over his hands. Then he started to freak out because it was stuck and wouldn’t come off. Then he freaked out because I got him wet when I untangled him. I couldn’t get out of the shower quick enough to make sure Shenzie wasn’t up to no good as well. Ha, I was right to be worried. She got into my desk drawer where I keep my hidden stash of candy (not so hidden apparently) and was covered in chocolate and laughing up a storm as she shoveled more into her mouth. Then she ran away so I couldn’t clean her hands and got melted chocolate all over the door, wall, and rail.
Beware of the silence is my new house motto.

Woman you had me laughing out loud at Russian Roulette! PERFECT description!

Yeah, it’s always seems to be Russian Roulette when I take a shower too. Mine don’t so much as get into things at that time, but they fight and hit each other in the head, and scream and cry. Makes for a very frusterating shower. Also I got the color wonder markers, of course you did say these were your scrapbook markers, anyway we love those, I don’t have to worr so much. They are kinda pricey but worth the piece of mind.

Ah, the dreaded silence. Frozen for a moment between, do I enjoy it while I can
and face the consequences later, or sprint to the other room? This is how we lost
our stereo. Showering, you are brave. When E’s away I either shower before they
wake up, during nap, or lock them in the nursery and bring the monitor in the
bathroom!!

hahahaahhhahah….this is too much….see, this is why I enjoy reading the blogs of mom’s with younger children…it reminds me what I have been through and allows me to smile at your stories
And you with twins….oh my, double the mischief that can be found. I love the scotch tape story!!! And daughter like mother, has a sweet tooth and can smell the chocolate out!!! I’m glad you can take pics and laugh….it is all part of raising toddlers. Deep breaths!!!

Oh, Lesley, Lesley, Lesley!! I am laughing over here because I SO know what you mean. As I type now I am thinking it is kind of quiet in the other room but I am reluctant to “lose” a minute for me!! Those pictures are a riot!
