Weekend Recap [Week 9]
We had a wonderfully fabulous weekend (minus the hangover I woke up with Sunday - Oops).
Our weekend started a bit early Friday with AWESOME [unheard of for August] weather (like 79 at 10am). I packed the kiddos up and went to the park to enjoy the freak weather. They ran and ran and ran around and had so much fun. Oh my heavens I CANNOT wait for fall.

Saturday we got up and took the kids to ride the train!!! More on this later with LOTS of photos. The weather was perfect and the ride was fun (minus creepy old man). After a quick nap we headed over to Cousin Haylee’s Two Year Birthday Party where more fun was had. The kids did not have one melt down all day despite the short nap and the non stop action. Saturday night my awesome hubby and I hung out and I apparently had too much to drink because Sunday was pure hell. I’m WAY too old for hangovers and it was NOT a fun time. Lesson learned. =)

Sunday we set off to the Wal*marts and got the babies new bikes as an early birthday present (more on this later with LOTS of photos). They LOVE them of course and they look so cute riding around on them. Sunday Jeff took very good care of his icky wife and kept the kids entertained while I moaned on the couch and then passed out in the bed for a nice long nap. Thank you sugar!!! Sunday night we ordered Pizza and Pasta and relaxed with the kiddos.

Watching TV on their bikes. Too funny.

Paint Me Pretty Edition:

The had a blast painting their paper and an even bigger blast painting themselves. They thought is was just hilarious to paint their faces and quite fun to paint their toenails just like “Aunnie Tacey” did. Thank you Auntie Stacey, you created a monster x2. =)
Ahh, good times, good times! Even better when Heaten drinks his dirty watercolor water and Shenzie dumps hers all over the floor.
And holy crap! This is my 99th Edition!

Public Heath Announcement
My friend Laura has some important news to deliver. I couldn’t agree more. I know several mom’s who do not sunblock their children and I want to slap them upside the head. Protect your children - it is your job!

One Liners
*Shenzie is Mini Me. Except when it comes to bugs. Tonight she came inside holding an earwig. “Look Mama, bug”. EWW. EWW. EWW.
*The babies yell at me when they are angry. I hope this is typical toddler stuff and not because they are mimicking me. I would be sad.
*When Heaten cuddles into me on the couch I tell him it makes me happy. Now he’ll lean into me and pat his chest saying Happy. So sweet.
*For adorable cuteness you can visit my photography blog and check out Little Boy Blue. He is a honey!!
That is all.

Wall-E
I’m starting to get a little worried about Heaten. He becomes fixated on things (mainly TV) and has the WORST tantrums ever if he doesn’t get his way. He used to be addicted to Curious George. He would watch him upon waking in the morning while drinking his milk, before nap, upon waking from nap with his milk, and before bed. I thought that was WAY too much TV for a 2 year old, but those were our relaxing times so it didn’t bother me as much. Since we’ve been stuck in the house so much due to the HOT ASS weather the TV watching is out of control. Well, let me say Heaten’s TV time is OUT OF CONTROL. The MINUTE, and I’m not joking, his first word of the day is Eva (from Wall-E). We have Wall-E on the TV ALL DAY LONG. He doesn’t sit and watch it all day, he plays and stuff, but it is still on in the background which I hate. I don’t want him to get used to watching so much tv, but I must admit when there is nothing else to do and we’ve exhausted all art, play, reading, and everything else I can think of, I can’t think of why he shouldn’t be allowed to watch it? Tell me o great ones, are your kids addicted to things - particularly TV? What do you do? I’m wondering if I just break the habit and suffer through a few days drama if he will get over it or fixate on the next thing. Help!!
And a HUGE Happy Birthday to my sister Kristy!! Don’t worry, you don’t look a day over 24!

Weekend Recap [Week 8]
This is really week 9 since I missed last week, but whatev.

They love to pretend sleep under our covers. I can’t wait for the day we get a king size bed and we can all cuddle under the covers without kicking and rolling on one another.
Another busy weekend at Casa de Barr. The weekend started out with my car in the shop. My brakes were acting wonky and I needed an oil change so Friday I dropped it off. Dropping off our car that houses the carseats and leaves us carless is much drama. Picking up the car $857.00 (replaced Power Brake Booster) later only to find out that the car FIX it place actually BROKE it more and having to take it back AGAIN is even more drama. Needless to say I am NOT happy. And carless which REALLY sucks.
Saturday I ran some errands, shopped for a baby shower (hi Janae), and had a photo shoot with my niece Marlee. OMG I cannot wait to edit them. I will post a link here next week with the Sneak Peek - she was simply TOO cute in her pettiskirt.
Sunday I ran more errands in my husbands car while he was stuck home with the little Crazies and then we had a little thank you BBQ for my Sister Stacey, Uncle Jimmy, and cousin Haylee for watching the twins while we car shopped. Auntie Ang and Cousin Marlee joined in the fun. Much food was ate, laughs were had, and then sadness came that the weekend was over.
Highlight of my weekend. My wonderful, romantic, perfect husband surprised me with So You Think You Can Dance tickets!!!! We’ll be seeing the touring dancers this November, I cannot wait!!! Thank you Jeff, I love you!!
