Cute as a Button Edition:

This is my good friend Janae’s beautiful little girl. You may remember her as a teeny tiny newborn, and oh my, how she has grown!!!
So I am jumping on the old barn wood rug wagon and Janae’ was kind enough to loan me her baby so I could test it out (among other “studio” props). Thank you Janae’, you know I just want to steal Baby G away and smooch her little rolls all day long!!!

Going to Jail!
The other day while the twinzies were in school I ran a bunch of errands. One of them was a trip to the Wal*marts. In this trip I purchased a box of diapers (the twinzies still sleep in diapers since they are still in cribs and can’t get out to pee). So anyway, I checked out, loaded my cart up, and went to my car. When I was uploading my bags I noticed the diapers were not in the cart and remembered that the cashier put them on the top of the turnabout. I finished unloading the cart and went back into the store to get them. The cashier looks around and says she doesn’t have them. I show her my receipt with the diapers on there, but she just shrugs and goes back to checking out her customer. I walk back to my car pissed that I somehow lost the diapers and have to spend $20 for another box. So what do I do? I walk into the store, go to the back where they keep the diapers, grab a box, walk back to the front of the store, and walk out with my box of diapers. Hahahah, Jeff thought I was crazy for “stealing” the box of diapers, but it wasn’t really stealing since I actually did pay for them. Right? =)

The Old Swapperoo
I’m not sure if it a twin thing or a sibling thing, but it seems like the twinzies go through the old swapperoo every few months. For quite some time Shenzie was the easier and Heaten was just hard, hard, hard. As you can guess Heaten is now so easy and fun and Shenzie is just crazy. If I wasn’t so lazy I would go back and find older posts that I’ve written about this to see what ages each were easy/hard, but the lazy wins (not to mention my time just came to a halt and the twinzies are awake and yelling for me).
So we survived our first week of preschool. The second day Shenzie cried even harder and ran over to me, wrapped her arms around my leg, and just cried. It was heartbreaking. “Mama, I go to work with you…..MamamamamamammaMAMAMAMA”. Luckily Jeff was with me again and talked me out of whisking her away. And of course she was fine. Miss K said she only cried for a moment and then played happily the rest of the time. She tells me she had fun and played and wants to go back so I’m hopeful the crying will soon end. Although I really don’t know how hopeful I should be since she is addicted to Mommy like crazy. If I go upstairs she screams and yells for me until I come back down. The times I leave for work on the weekends she cries when I go. She is just really all about the drama and working me, and sad as it is, it totally works. I hate to hear her scream and cry. I am such a sucker! =)

Heaten seems to be doing VERY well. That little boy has undergone a HUGE transformation. A few months ago it was like tantrum central around here with him throwing things, falling to the ground like a crazy person, whining, crying, and just utterly annoying. These days he is so happy, content, lively, funny, and VERY hyper. The better his speaking gets the happier he is. I am SO happy that he is finally able to communicate and not get so frustrated with everything. What a difference it makes.

Here’s to hoping the next swapperoo miraculously has them both on the easy, happy road which will make Mama a very happy girl indeed!

The Cute is Enough to Melt the Coldest of Hearts Edition:

Oh my heavens, how I love these little kids! I SO wish Heaten was looking at me, but as usual, when the camera comes out he avoids me at all costs. =)

Bwahaha
My plan of no naps worked like a charm. At 7pm they were out like a light and Mommy enjoyed some nice quiet time since Daddy was at Kung Fu. Maybe, just maybe, the two hours of crazy before bedtime was worth it. We’ll find out today if they nap good and remain in good spirits!!
A few photos from our park play the other day.

FREAKING Out!!
In case you couldn’t tell from the title, I am FREAKING OUT! Today my little tiny babies started preschool. My brain is confused. At times it tells me “OMG, get these little devil children’s into preschool NOW!”, and other times it tells me “OMG, I can’t do it, they are too little, it’s too soon”, or “they will miss me, I will miss them, I don’t know what I was thinking”. Of course my brain conversations all depend on the twinzies level of crazy at any given moment. =) Jeff was able to do drop off with me this morning which REALLY helped ease my anxiety. Of course I knew Shenzie was going to cry when I left and she did not dissapoint. My heart was so sad to leave her crying, but the teacher said it only lasted for a few minutes. The reviews were great, they did awesome, played well, used the potty, and listened to direction. When I picked them up they were each playing quietly in opposite sides of the room and seemed happy and content. Cross your fingers that they want to go back on Thursday.

First day of school pictures.
It was so weird being home alone with no kids. I turned on some tunes and got to work. They will go two days a week for 3.5-4 hours each day. I am beyond excited to have some free time to do all of the odd projects that keep getting put off, not to mention work more.

My plan is to not nap them on their preschool days (they are in my bed right now having quiet movie time) in hopes that it will end the 9:30/10 playing in bed. They are just not ready for bed at 8:30 when they’ve napped and it makes bedtime VERY trying with the one mores and crying and trying to get out of bed. I know Heaten still really needs a nap, but Shenzie can easily go without one. This was Heaten on Valentines Day when we ran all day with no nap. He crashed on Daddy at 4pm, just too tired to go on for one more minute. =)

When Mama is Away the Kids Will Play Edition:

From upstairs I heard them giggling maddly, but hey, they weren’t fighting so I didn’t worry too much. Hahahaha, this is what I came back to.

In the Movies
Before the babies Jeff and I would go to the movies a lot. Then it got old so we started staying home and renting movies. Now going to the theater isn’t an option so we are home bound with lots of Movie Nights. Lately I’ve seen a few really good movies and thought I’d share.
Seven Pounds. I realize it is an older movie, but oh man, it was so good. It almost made me cry (and Sissies, you know how I hate to cry in movies)! Will Smith is [hot] er, I mean, a really good actor. =)
500 Days of Summer. This is a lighthearted love story with an AWESOME soundtrack. It is kind of a chick flick, but Jeff even thought it was good.
Away We Go. Can’t go wrong with dude from The Office and chick from Saturday Night Live (Maya Rudolph and John Krasinski).
Any good movies you all have seen that I need to add to my Netflix?
