A few weekends ago we ventured out to take a bike ride at Drake Park, forgetting that Bite of Bend was going on, so we joined in the festivities. They had bounce houses set up, so of course Shenzie and Heaten had to take a turn.

After all of the hot bouncing they cooled off with a yummy shaved ice treat.

We headed to the park and oh my, it was beautiful! I’d never been there before and was blown away by beauty of it all. I just looked at Jeff and smiled, this is where we live now.

My future house is along that river somewhere, I just know it! =)

So my goal last year was to read better books, less mindless filler. I read quite a few really good books so far this year, but I just can’t help myself when it comes to murder mysteries. I just love them!

So here is my first half of the year book list. It is a little light in March and April due to the move and you’ll notice a new column after the stars. I joined my first book club (yay!) and will mark those books with a bc.

Only a couple of 5 stars this round (in bold), so if you have any GREAT book recommendations let me know! Almost everybody I know is reading the Stieg Larsson books, and I have them on my to read list along with the soon to be released Lisa Unger, the new Lisa Lutz, and the new Marshall Karp, all of which should get 4-5 stars.
